Your adventure begins in Tangier, a city steeped in history and culture, known for its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe and Africa. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore some of Tangier’s key attractions.
Start with a visit to the Kasbah Museum, housed in the former Sultan’s palace, where you can delve into the rich history of the region. Take a stroll through the Medina, a maze of narrow streets filled with souks, artisan workshops, and historical landmarks. Don’t miss the American Legation Museum, the first American public property outside the United States, symbolizing the long-standing ties between Morocco and the U.S.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and relax before your journey southward begins.
Day 2: Tangier to Chefchaouen – The Blue Pearl of Morocco
After breakfast, you’ll set off for Chefchaouen, a picturesque town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Known as the “Blue Pearl of Morocco,” Chefchaouen is famous for its striking blue-washed buildings, creating a tranquil and enchanting atmosphere.
Upon arrival, check into your riad and spend the afternoon exploring the town. Wander through the Medina, where every corner reveals a different shade of blue, and visit the Kasbah in the town’s center, offering stunning views of the surrounding area.
